THE BASICS

Where does the name Le Bon Garçon come from?

Le Bon Garçon, pronounced luh-BOHN-gar-sohn, means “the good boy”. Founder Justin Chao lived in Paris near Rue des Mauvais Garçons, or “Bad Boys Street” which became the inspiration behind the name of his new caramel endeavor. Realizing he’d never really been a “bad boy”, Chao decided Le Bon Garçon was a much more suitable fit.

What does quelle surprise mean?

Quelle surprise means “what a surprise!” An example of this in a sentence is, “You sent my favorite caramels? Quelle surprise! Thank you!”

What does c’est bon mean?

C’est bon means “it’s good!” One way to use it in a sentence is, “I’ve never tasted anything as heavenly as these honey lavender caramels before! C’est bon!”

INGREDIENTS

Are your caramels gluten-free?

While we don’t use it in our caramels, we do process wheat in our kitchen and our products are not certified gluten-free.

Does your product contain dairy?

Yes, our caramel recipe includes fresh organic milk, cream, and butter.

Do you use corn syrup?

Sacré bleu! No, we never use corn syrup in anything.

What does sacré bleu mean?

Sacré bleu is a French expression used to express shock or dismay.

How much advance notice is needed for wedding favor orders?

Three weeks minimum is needed for standard Le Bon Garçon favors and six weeks is required for custom favors. Email help@lebongarcon for pricing and options.

No, orders arrive with an itemized packing slip only. Price information is not included in our shipments.

Orders arrive 3–5 business days from the date of purchase.

Do you ship orders in hot weather?

Yes, we ship in all types of weather, including hot!

How should I store my caramels?

We recommend storing caramels in an air-tight container inside your refrigerator or freezer.

How much is shipping?

Free shipping applies to US orders delivered to one address and over $40. For all other US deliveries, a $4.95 flat rate applies.

What is your return policy?

In the rare case our caramels don't meet your expectations, email help@lebongarcon.com within 30 days of your order date and a refund will be issued to your account.
